The Old Jewish Cemetery from the first half of the 15th Century is one of the oldest Jewish burial grounds in the world. National Geographic travel magazine ranks it among the ten most interesting cemeteries in the world. It is unique not only for its 12,000 exceptionally decorated tombstones, but above all for the personalities who have been buried here. Among the most famous is Rabi Löw, a renowned scholar and educator of the second half of the 16th and early 17th Centuries, who legend claims created an artificial man - the Golem.
You can get a one-time ticket to all the buildings of the Prague Jewish Town at the ticket office of the Information and Reservation Centre or at the Pinkas Synagogue, Klaus Synagogue, Maisel Synagogue (Sundays only), Spanish Synagogue and High Synagogue. Don’t forget to keep your ticket!
