The National Museum of Agriculture offers a unique display of agriculture and the phenomena associated with it. The grassy roof terrace, which offers an unusual and magnificent view of Prague, is undoubtedly worth a visit. There is also a small exhibition area on the roof, a field with agricultural crops and beehives. The museum courtyard with benches, gazebos and live farm animals also provides a place to relax. The building of the National Agriculture Museum is a monumental Functionalist structure dating to the 1930s. Together with the National Technical Museum, it forms an extensive architectural complex near Letná Park.
The ground floor of the museum is reserved for lovers of historical agricultural technology, while the first floor deals with fields such as fishing, forestry and hunting. On the second floor houses the main exhibition titled ‘Agriculture’ and the exhibition hall with an exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of G. J. Mendel from July 2022. Under the roof you can visit the Gastronomy and the Children’s Gastronomy exhibitions. The museum keeps children in mind in all the exhibitions, which feature a number of interactive exhibits. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
