Did you know that...

FOK Prague Symphony Orchestra is the official orchestra of the capital city of Prague, which was founded in 1934. The abbreviation FOK symbolizes the original focus of the orchestra (Film – Opera – Concert). The artistic reputation and respect of the orchestra is co-created and at the same time underlined by cooperation with internationally recognized conductors and regular guest appearances abroad. The wider public knows the orchestra mainly thanks to the music recordings for most Czech films from the 1930s. The Orchestra resides and performs in the beautiful Smetana Hall of the Municipal House, which is one of the most famous art nouveau buildings in Prague.
