Vintage Tram (Circuit Line 42) – route changes

Short-term route change (April 21)
On Sunday, April 21, the tram will not run through the Újezd, Hellichova and Malostranské náměstí stops. The last 2 circuits (departure from Dlabačov at 16:40 and 17:20) the tram will follow the regural route.
 
Long-term route change (April 29 – June 30)
The tram will not run through Wenceslas Square.
 
Long-term route change (April 29 – September 30)
Reconstruction will take place in Havlíčkova – Dlážděná streets. The Masaryk Station stop will be unmanned.

Galerie Villa Pellé: WITHOUT THE VEIL, JIŘÍ NAČERADSKÝ FROM PRIVATE COLLECTIONS

The exhibition presents a representative selection of the author's painting work from 1967 until the period of the painter's death in 2014. Thanks to his innovative approach to the image, Jiří Načeradský is one of the key authors of Czech post-war painting. In 1979, the purchasing committee of the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris selected seven works from his creation for their collections. In addition, Načeradský's work was included in important international exhibitions - Expressiv (Vienna 1987 and Washington 1988), a collective exhibition (New York 1988) or Europaweit - Kunst der 60er Jahre (Karlsruhe and in Halle).

Short-term tram service restrictions in April 2024

Due to the maintenance of the tram lines, there are short-term restrictions in the operation of the trams during April. More information on pid.cz

Nádraží Holešovice – Ke Stírce: temporary suspension of tram service (April 8 – April 17)
Due to the repair of the tram line, there will be a temporary interruption of tram service in the Nádraží Holešovice – Ke Stírce section from Monday, April 8 (from the start of day service) to Wednesday, April 17 (until the end of night service). More information can be found here.

Hradčanská - Strossmayerovo náměstí: Temporary suspension of tram operation (8. 4. – 17. 4.)
Due to tram track repair, starting from Wednesday, 17 April and lasting until Sunday, 28 April, there is temporarily no tram service between Hradčanská and Strossmayerovo náměstí. More information can be found here.

Marold's panorama is open again

After the winter break, you can visit Marold's panorama again from April 1. This monumental image of the battlefield dates from the end of the 19th century and is complemented by replicas of wagon walls, weapons and other period war props. These create the illusion of a three-dimensional space and complete the atmosphere of the battle.

Did you know that the painting is 95 meters wide, 11 meters high and is located in a unique circular pavilion?

The funicular to Petřín is in operation again!

From March 28, you can again go out for experiences and visit, for example, the Petřín lookout tower, the mirror maze or the Štefánik observatory. The funicular to Petřín is in operation from 8:00 to 23:00 at intervals of 10–15 minutes. With the Prague Visitor Pass for free.

Did you know that the length of the track is 510 meters and the funicular exceeds the height of 130 meters? The funicular thus offers one of the most beautiful views of the main landmarks of Prague!

The New Mill Water Tower is back in operation after the winter break!

The Tower dates back to the 17th Century and is a very valuable technical monument built in the Baroque style. It used to serve as a water reservoir; today it is home to an exhibition about Prague’s firefighters. The observation deck offers a beautiful view of the Vltava River and the wider centre of Prague. The group exhibition Prints presents a series of sculptural exhibitions that will take place this year in the garden of Winternitz's villa. In the works of all the represented authors, we can thus perceive the distant imprints of the past, the fate of the villa and people who inhabited the villa. The exhibition can be visited until May 19!

DOX Centre for Contemporary Art: KAFKAesque

Franz Kafka (1883–1924) is one of the key authors of the cultural world of the 20th century, and his novels, stories and correspondence have been translated into dozens of languages. Kafka's literary work influenced not only other writers, but gradually affected many different areas of culture, such as film, music and visual arts. Created to mark the centenary of his death, the KAFKAESQUE exhibition will feature works by internationally renowned artists for whom the works of Franz Kafka remain an inspiration.

We present you a unique view, which consists of live broadcasts of 8 webcams. The basis is a camera located on the Petrin Tower, which at regular intervals creates a panoramic view of Prague, provides weather information and offers an interactive menu with places that you can visit with the official tourist card Prague Visitor Pass.
