Karíma Al-Mukhtarová: Through the body

(Galerie Villa Pellé, 19. 3. – 27. 4.)
The exhibition will present the artist's current work, which reflects her experiences from her residency at Ville Karo in Benin in 2024. The exhibited works are mainly new works created especially for the exhibition at Ville Pellé. In them, Karíma develops her own techniques and enriches them with new methods and strategies that she learned in Africa. This constructive dialogue will allow the viewer to learn about different cultural approaches. The emphasis is on carpets and objects of a handicraft nature that connect the material and symbolic levels.

Clam-Gallas Palace

Exhibition bonus (25. 2. 2025 – 30. 3. 2025)
You will see a little-known paper model of the Clam-Gallas Palace by Antonín Langweil from 1827, supplemented with period drawings and graphic sheets that depict the palace and life in it during the 18th–20th centuries. The bonus exhibition also includes short stories, photographs and graphic visualizations that connect the palace's past with the present.

This exhibition that presents works exclusively from the Wigam Collection is centered on two main visions of the world. In one space, the focus lies on the experience of the world through the body; while in the other, the world is, first and foremost, observed and lived through the social interdependencies.

We present you a unique view, which consists of live broadcasts of 8 webcams. The basis is a camera located on the Petrin Tower, which at regular intervals creates a panoramic view of Prague, provides weather information and offers an interactive menu with places that you can visit with the official tourist card Prague Visitor Pass.
