Did you know that...
The Ctěnice Chateau complex dates back to the 14th Century and is a typical example of Baroque architecture. The romantic chateau is surrounded by a large park with farm buildings. The whole compound is enclosed by a massive stone wall with pillared gates. The chateau, park and other buildings are a protected historical monument.
The interiors house permanent exhibitions titled ‘Crafts in Order’ (the museum manages one of the largest collections of guild monuments in the world), ‘Prague - Těšnov Railway Station and the Negrelli Viaduct’ (the exhibition includes a unique model of the station building and the track running along Negrelli Viaduct), ‘History of the Municipality of Vinoř from prehistoric times to the 20th Century’ and ‘Ctěnice Chateau / History, Construction Development and Restoration.’ The chateau grounds are also used for temporary exhibitions and various cultural events for the public.
