The Pinkas Synagogue stands in close proximity to the Old Jewish Cemetery. It was built in 1535 in the late Gothic style and is one of the most important buildings of the Jewish Town. In 1955-60, it was transformed into a memorial to almost 80,000 Czech and Moravian Jews - victims of the Shoah, whose names are inscribed by hand on the walls. The exhibition on the 1st floor presents world-famous drawings by Jewish children imprisoned in the Terezín ghetto during World War II. The outdoor exhibition titled Journeys of No Return is installed in the adjacent Pinkas Alley.
You can get a one-time ticket to all the buildings of the Prague Jewish Town at the ticket office of the Information and Reservation Centre or at the Pinkas Synagogue, Klaus Synagogue, Maisel Synagogue (Sundays only), Spanish Synagogue and High Synagogue. Don’t forget to keep your ticket!
