Did you know that...

The Kampa Museum is located on the island of the same name, which is separated from the Lesser Town by the Čertovka Canal. The museum is located in the historic building of Sovovy mlýny on the banks of the Vltava River. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Charles Bridge and National Theatre on one side and Petřín Hill and Prague Castle on the other from the terrace.

The museum, which has been open since 2002, holds a unique collection of modern and post-war art built up in exile in the United States by spouses Meda and Jan Mládek. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to the pioneer of abstract art František Kupka and Cubist sculptor Otto Gutfreund. Short-term exhibitions focus mainly on prominent personalities of Czech post-war art, such as Jiří Kolář, Adriena Šimotová and Stanislav Kolíbal.
