The Prague Loreto is a Marian pilgrimage site with a copy of the Holy Hut and the Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Lord, surrounded by an ambit and chapels. The tower houses a carillon with 27 Dutch bells, which play the Baroque Marian melody We Salute Thee a Thousand Times (on the hour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Equally rare is the Loreto Treasure, a collection of religious objects and other votive offerings from the 16th to 18th Centuries, the most famous of which is the Diamond Monstrance called the “Prague Sun” embellished with 6,222 diamonds.

The Loreto is a remarkable Baroque monument, a place of pilgrimage with a rich history. The wide ornamental facade with a clock tower, from which the tones of the Loreto carillon chime on the hour, cannot not escape the attention of any domestic or foreign visitor who passes by in the direction of Prague Castle. It would be a great pity to be satisfied with just this picturesque view from the terrace in front of the Czernin Palace. Those who descend to Loreto Square and pass through the gate of the Loreto will be pleasantly surprised by the layout of the pilgrimage site and will surely appreciate the attractions to be seen there.
